Do you read fairy tales?

I am fascinated by the variations on the tales, both the classics and the more unusual stories for our culture. Some of them are gory and some of them are so beautifully descriptive that I am left inhabiting their world for a bit, like walking in the shadow of another time and place. ‘Cinders & The Earth’ is the first set in this collection, based on a telling of the classic Cinderella were the magic comes from a hazel tree planted with love and hope.
